Police Unity Tour
How The Tour Started
In May 1997, the Police Unity Tour was organized, by Officer Patrick P. Montuore of the Florham Park Police Department, with the hope of bringing public awareness of Police Officers who have died in the line of duty and to honor their sacrifices. What started with 18 riders on a four-day fund-raising bicycle ride from Florham Park, NJ to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. has grown into nine chapters consisting of nearly 2500 members nationwide who make the trip annually.
The Pit Crew
Ross Hart owner of Hart's Cyclery is our Official Chapter 10 Bicycle shop and Mechanic. These guys (Ross, Kevin and kacper) are the equivalent of a Nascar Pit Crew for the Police Unity Tour. Ross and his team go out of their way every May to ensure that over 600 bicycles make the 300 mile trip from New Jersey to Washington DC safely. They absolutely love helping us at one of the busiest times of year for a bicycle shop. As good as they are, we want to make the work a little easier this year and get your bicycles in now for maintenance now. - Chapter 10
Harts Cyclery Team
Ross, Kevin (Ross's brother), and Kacper (Technician) all volunteer their time to support the police unity tour. Harts Cyclery LLC donates everything to the Police Unity Tour during the ride.
Harts donates Tubes, Tires, Wheels, cables, and everything else you might think a bike might need.
